Alicia Adamopoulos is a photographer based in Yeronga, Brisbane and began her love affair with photography while still a teenager. She often attended high school with a camera in her bag and to this day has all the photos to bribe old classmates with.
Over the years she developed a love of conceptual photography and her composite and creative work was awarded at the highest level. Alicia is fortunate to be highly awarded for her work across a broad variety of subject matter including work with children and animals. She is also enjoys wildlife, travel and landscape photography with her images known to be simple and beautiful.
Alicia has earned a Master of Photography I with the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) and an Associate of Photography with WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) in the USA. She has judged the AIPP state professional photography awards in Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia as well as judging the Australian Professional Photography Awards each year from 2010-2015. In 2014 she judged at the WPPI awards in Las Vegas for the first time, and judged the HIPA awards in Dubai in 2015. In 2018 Alicia made a return to awards judging being invited to judge the finals of the Rise International Photography Awards in their inaugural year.
As well as judging, Alicia has previously presented workshops in Texas, Dubai, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, Victoria and also online, sharing her approach to conceptual portraiture as well as her editing techniques with eager participants.
After stepping away from photography for a few short years, Alicia is making a return to the industry and is looking forward to a more streamlined approach to shooting and enjoying lifestyle based sessions around the elements that truly matter in a family unit.
When not taking photos you will find Alicia spending time with her husband and four sons, or probably at a dog show surrounded by dogs... and maybe still taking photos there because she is a dedicated crazy dog lady.
